In today’s digital age, instead of becoming obsolete, paper is gaining new attention. Along with it, interest in the history, tradition and practice of hand papermaking is growing as many discover its potential as a vibrant art form.
Made with natural cellulose fibers,* handmade paper has a unique presence all its own and the processes involved in producing it can be transforming.
With a portable papermaking studio I offer a number of hands-on demonstrations, workshops, and/or presentations. Please feel free to contact me to discuss opportunities to bring hand papermaking to your community.
*cotton, abaca, flax, hemp, kozo, etc. and re-purposed clothing (made from these same materials)
